Innovation Shines in Hard Work: JIN BAODAO ’s On-site Solution to Construction Splashing Challenges

19 May,2026

As a "Specialized, Refined, Differential, and Innovative" and high-tech enterprise, JIN BAODAO has always regarded innovation as its core philosophy. It has not only put forward the industry-wide concept of "Piling Replaced by Tamping, Rolling Replaced by Tamping", but also continuously promotes innovative R&D in construction practices to solve on-site challenges. This year, at a project in Sichuan, the team developed a splash-proof device for dynamic compaction construction. Though seemingly a minor innovation, it embodies the spirit of "greatness in the details" and reflects the company’s integrated R&D capabilities that combine frontline practice with technical development.

On April 17, 2026, following three consecutive days of rain, the Sichuan project site in Bashu welcomed clear skies. At the command of the owner’s chief director, the dynamic compaction work officially began. The heavy hammer rose slowly with the roar of the crane, then fell freely to compact and reinforce the filled ground. However, a problem soon emerged: the muddy, rain-soaked surface caused far-reaching splashes of mud and debris. Near the site boundary, these splashes risked contaminating or damaging the adjacent completed factory area. While starting construction from the site center initially mitigated the issue, the increasing rainfall in May meant boundary work would eventually face this problem.

Challenge became a call to action. Project manager Zhang Shouming quickly established a "Splash Prevention Task Force" to brainstorm solutions. Three strategies were considered:

Avoidance: Postpone boundary work during rainy conditions—too unreliable.

Shielding: Install hundreds of meters of 20+ meter high protective barriers along the factory wall—prohibitively costly, labor-intensive, and time-consuming.

Blocking: Erect targeted barriers near the drop zone to intercept splashes at their source—focused and practical.

The team opted for the third approach. Based on on-site video and observations, they drafted barrier dimensions tailored to the crane’s frame, tested both rigid and flexible materials, and refined the design over two days. The final solution combined flexible, durable fabric with square-tube framing to create an effective anti-splash device for mud and debris. Soon, all cranes on-site were equipped with the device, completely resolving the boundary splash issue and enabling safe, timely completion of the work.

Leveraging its closed-loop mechanism of frontline-driven innovation, JIN BAODAO rapidly addresses construction pain points, continuously optimizes processes, and improves safety and efficiency. True to its corporate spirit of "Loyalty, Gratitude, Dedication, and Innovation," the company integrates innovative intent and practical commitment into every project and detail. It remains committed to breakthroughs in green, low-carbon foundation treatment, setting industry benchmarks through on-site excellence and technical innovation.
