Fierce Construction Race in Siping, Solid Foundation for Pioneering Progress

Recently, the Siping Lishu Wind-Solar Green Hydrogen & Biomass Coupled Green Methanol Project Department of Shanxi Jinbaodao Foundation Engineering Co., Ltd. reported great news: the company ranked first among all construction contractors with a score of 99 in the June monthly comprehensive assessment organized by the project owner.
Jointly conducted by the supervision institute, BPC general contractor, construction general contractor and inspection institute, the assessment comprehensively evaluated performance across seven major categories including safety & environmental protection, engineering quality, schedule control, civilized construction and document management, serving as an authoritative recognition of the project’s phased construction achievements.
Located in the Ecological Chemical Park of Lishu County, Siping City, the project is invested and developed by Jiyuan (Siping) Green Energy Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 3.166 billion RMB. It covers a land area of 486,600 m² and a building area of 173,400 m². Ground treatment consists of two core procedures: dynamic compaction and pile foundation construction, featuring a large workload, tight schedule and stringent quality requirements.
The dynamic compaction adopts dual-energy-level construction technologies of 6000kN·m and 8000kN·m, covering a total area of 218,000 m². Pile foundations are laid in core process zones including gasification, compressor and cooling tower areas, with a total of 310 piles of Type 600 and Type 800 completed. The control standards are stricter than those of conventional projects.
Battling Severe Early Spring Weather to Complete Large-Scale Dynamic Compaction on Schedule
The concentrated dynamic compaction work lasted from April 18 to May 15. The construction site suffered harsh weather conditions including frequent Grade 8–9 gales, low temperatures and sleet. The project department implemented a 24-hour non-stop construction scheme, deploying 5 dynamic compaction machines and 2 loaders for shift operation. A special equipment repair team was set up to fix all breakdowns on the same day, together with routine equipment maintenance to ensure uninterrupted construction.
Stringent safety and civilized construction management was enforced on site: 1,200 meters of vibration isolation trenches were excavated, 70,000 m² of dust-proof green nets laid, and rigid enclosures, guardrails and safety signs installed along the whole construction line. Round-the-clock noise and vibration monitoring was carried out, and emergency drills for mechanical injury and fire fighting were held regularly to fully mitigate safety risks.
The project finished 195,000 m² of dynamic compaction ahead of schedule with all quality, schedule and safety indicators meeting standards, gaining formal recognition from China Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd., the general contractor.
Seizing Gaps Amid Continuous Rains to Successfully Complete All Pile Foundation Works
The pile foundation construction phase ran from May 15 to June 28. Persistent rainy and windy weather created extra difficulties for outdoor operations. The project department adopted full-process closed-loop management, assigning dedicated personnel to oversee every link including raw material supply, reinforcement cage fabrication, hole forming and concrete pouring. Critical procedures were supervised with full-time on-site attendance under round-the-clock construction. All pile foundation works were completed on time with guaranteed quality, winning unanimous praise from the owner, general contractor and supervision institute.
This ground treatment campaign has fully tested the technical capacity, management level and on-site execution efficiency of JIN BAODAO’s team, accumulating valuable practical experience in constructing large-scale new energy projects in high-latitude cold regions.
At present, all project staff are fully committed to finishing remaining works. The team will further strengthen full-process quality control, strictly comply with all acceptance criteria, and deliver all ground works with zero deviations, laying a solid foundation for the smooth overall construction of this benchmark green methanol project in Jilin Province.
