A Record of the Field Survey in Lvliang: The First Field Survey Memory with the Chairman
07 May,2025
The wheels rolled over the asphalt road of Lvliang, and fine dust swirled and rose, just like the anxious and hopeful feeling I had at this moment. As soon as I started work, I received a notice to go to Lvliang for a survey with the chairman. On the one hand, I was full of hope to take this opportunity to broaden my horizons and learn practical experience beyond textbooks; On the other hand, one cannot help but worry about their lack of experience and making mistakes in front of the chairman. This contradictory emotion is like a tangled mess, repeatedly entangling in the heart.
On the way to Lvliang, the chairman looked out the window and said earnestly, "We need to visit the site more often in order to truly understand the requirements and difficulties of the project." These words made me instantly realize the importance of this task and reminded me to double my focus.
After a detailed survey, the situation of the three plots gradually became clear, and there were significant challenges hidden in each one; In response to these challenges, the chairman also provided solutions.
The first plot, although flat in terrain, has a higher water content as it goes south. To address this, the leveling elevation can be raised to the road surface to reduce the impact of groundwater and facilitate dynamic compaction operations; At the same time, make full use of the abundant construction waste near the site as suitable filling materials to achieve resource reuse and cost control. For the high-pressure tower adjacent to the west side, a trial compaction can be carried out first to monitor the impact of vibration in real time, and determine the compaction energy and safety distance based on the results of the trial compaction; In response to the high groundwater level in the second plot, the chairman proposed to surround the site and use a waterproof curtain for precipitation; The third plot is located within the factory area, with the natural gas pipeline on the east side and the heating pipeline on the south side crisscrossing. The chairman proposed to block the propagation path of construction vibration by excavating isolation trenches; At the same time, a high-precision real-time monitoring system is deployed to continuously track data such as pipeline displacement and stress changes 24 hours a day, ensuring the safety and controllability of the entire construction process and minimizing the impact of vibration.
In the face of these complex situations, communication with the project leader becomes particularly crucial. The chairman responded calmly to every question with his rich experience and professional knowledge. His profound insights into the industry and excellent negotiation skills made me listen attentively and admire him. This exchange meeting was not just a professional exchange, but more like a vivid on-site teaching, which allowed me to gain valuable practical experience.
This trip with Chairman has given me a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the project. More importantly, I truly understand that behind every successful project, countless efforts and sweat are condensed. As a new starting point in my career, this experience has made me understand that there may be more challenges in the future, but it is also full of opportunities. I will carry this harvest with me, forge ahead, live up to expectations, and embrace every growth.
