Chairman Visits Project Frontline in Person
24 Jul,2025
The scorching sun could not stop the footsteps heading deep into the frontline. Recently, Chairman Wenzhe of the company, amid his busy schedule, made a special trip to the Baotou project site, focusing on research and guidance regarding the quality and safety management of dynamic compaction construction, team building, and employees' living conditions, injecting strong motivation and a clear direction into the project team.
Dynamic compaction construction is a key link in the foundation treatment of this project, directly related to the structural safety of subsequent projects. Upon arriving at the site, the Chairman Wen straight to the dynamic compaction operation area, carefully observing the construction process amid the roar of machines: he inquired about every detail one by one, from the weight of the hammer, the control of the drop distance to the arrangement of compaction points and the interval time. He leaned over to check the compaction settlement records and put forward requirements for the continuity and accuracy of the data: "The quality of dynamic compaction is the cornerstone of a stable foundation. The parameters of each blow must not be ambiguous; they must be strictly implemented in accordance with design specifications to ensure that the foundation bearing capacity meets the standards and lay a solid foundation for subsequent construction." When discovering slight bulges around individual compaction points, he immediately asked the technical personnel to review the parameters, adjust the construction plan in a timely manner, and resolutely eliminate potential quality hazards.
Work safety has always been the core focus of the Chairman. Outside the warning zone of the dynamic compaction operation, he carefully inspected the setup of warning signs, the safety protection of operators, and on-site supervision. He specifically admonished, "Dynamic compaction construction involves strong vibrations and dense mechanical operations. The warning range must be strictly demarcated, and no non-operating personnel are allowed to enter. Operators should regularly inspect the equipment's braking system to avoid safety accidents caused by mechanical failures." He also emphasized that during high-temperature periods in summer, construction hours should be reasonably arranged to prevent workers from being exposed to the sun for long periods. Meanwhile, heatstroke prevention medicines should be prepared to ensure "double protection" for safety and health. During the research, the Chairman noticed that the dynamic compaction team was cooperating with great tacit understanding — the commanders' gestures were clear, the machine operators responded promptly, and the recorders followed up on data in real-time, making the entire process orderly. He smiled and said to the team, "Dynamic compaction construction emphasizes coordinated operations. If one link fails, the entire progress will be affected. Your spirit of 'uniting as one in thought and working together in strength' is the best embodiment of team spirit." He encouraged everyone to maintain this cohesion, jointly study technical problems, tackle construction challenges side by side, and let this collaborative power become an "accelerator" for the project's progress.
After concluding the on-site research, the chairman made a special trip to the project's living quarters. He walked into the staff dormitories, felt the comfort of the beds, and checked the cooling effect of the air conditioners. In the canteen, he asked whether the daily menus balanced nutrition and taste, and carefully inspected the records of food ingredient purchases. "Everyone is working hard on the front line, and we must not be sloppy with their living conditions," he said to the project manager. "We should listen more to the workers' needs, improve the accommodation environment, and ensure food hygiene. This way, after a busy day, they can sleep soundly and have a hot meal—only then will they have the energy to fight every tough battle." Before leaving, the chairman encouraged all personnel once again: "Dynamic compaction construction is the key part of the project. Quality is the bottom line, safety is the red line, the team is the guarantee, and living conditions are the backing. I hope everyone will put today's requirements into practice, create high-quality projects with excellent engineering quality, rigorous safety management, and the strength of a united team, and live up to the company's trust and expectations."
