Warm Care Before the Two Festivals: Leaders Visit the Frontline of the Project to Inspect and Guide Work

As the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day (the "Two Festivals") approach, the construction site of the Kunming Changshui Airport Project echoes with the roar of machinery, and constructors are still working at the critical stage of the project. On September 20, company leaders including Yang Guanjun, Director of Production, and Wen Li, Director of the Supervision and Audit Department, went deep into the project’s construction site and living quarters despite the rain. They brought care and holiday greetings to frontline employees, inspected equipment, checked living support, and provided work guidance, injecting motivation for progress into the staff.

At around 9 a.m., a sudden shower hit. Yang Guanjun said directly, "The more it rains, the more we need to check mechanical protection," and immediately led the team to the construction area. They inspected the cab of the dynamic compaction machine and the winch modification process, and inquired about the status of the engine and transmission system. Under the operation room, Yang Guanjun carefully checked the boom and hammer rope, asked about the frequency of equipment inspections and maintenance records, and emphasized, "Dynamic compaction machines carry high risks; inspections before operation are a must." After learning that the mechanical account books were well-maintained, he reminded, "There has been much rain recently; we must strengthen inspections of circuits and braking systems, and do a good job in rainproofing and moisture-proofing."

At the subsequent seminar, the project leader reported on progress, safety, quality, as well as existing difficulties and future plans. The leaders affirmed the achievements and put forward rectification suggestions: first, identify equipment hazards and enhance operators’ safety awareness; second, identify potential hazards in advance and formulate emergency plans for safe production during the Two Festivals.

Later, the leaders went to the living quarters. Wen Li entered the dormitory, felt the thickness of the bedding, and asked with concern, "Do you feel cold when sleeping now that the temperature has dropped?" "Is 24-hour hot water available?" She also had a heart-to-heart talk with employees, solved some problems on the spot, and recorded matters requiring coordination. Before leaving, she said, "You all work hard on the frontline away from home; the company will be your strong backing. During the Two Festivals, I hope you can work with peace of mind and build this project into a high-quality one together."

The leaders’ care greatly encouraged all staff. They stated that they would turn this care into motivation, implement the requirements, ensure the project’s progress and quality, and welcome the Two Festivals with good results.
