Inaugural Meeting of Shanxi Center, Deep Geotech State Key Lab Foundation Center Successfully Held

On December 3, 2025, a special symposium on the preparations for establishing the Shanxi Branch of the Foundation Center under the State Key Laboratory of Deep Geomechanics and Underground Engineering (hereinafter referred to as "Deep National Key Laboratory") was held in our company. Focused on the high-standard and efficient preparation work for the provincial-level branch, the symposium laid a solid foundation for advancing the phased tasks.
Core members from both co-construction parties and invited experts attended the symposium, including Xu Tong and Wang Guangliang (representatives of the Foundation Center of Deep National Key Laboratory), Wen Zhe (Chairman of the Company), Jia Tianxin (Consultant), Wu Junjie (Assistant to the Chairman), and Ren Linyuan (Technical Consultant of Kazakhstan Golden Phoenix Survey and Design Institute). The symposium was chaired by Dong Baozhi, Chief Engineer of the Company.
Xu Tong from the Foundation Center of Deep National Key Laboratory delivered a keynote report titled "Build Platforms, Lay Foundations, Create Brands, and Persist in Innovation". The report elaborated on the Foundation Center's exploration and practical experience in building an innovative technology R&D and transformation platform for geotechnical engineering, detailed the plan for constructing a complete geotechnical engineering innovation system, and emphasized the dual-drive model featuring "technology R&D as the driver and engineering application as the orientation".
Centering on the core topic of "high-quality construction and preparation of the Shanxi Branch", the participants conducted in-depth and practical discussions, and reached a series of important consensuses and preliminary plans. The symposium discussed the establishment of a collaborative innovation model characterized by "demand-oriented, project-driven and achievement-sharing", and planned to quickly connect the complete chain from theoretical innovation to technological application and engineering verification through co-built platforms. The participation of representatives from Kazakhstan also laid a foundation for introducing an international perspective and expanding technological cooperation along the "Belt and Road" in the future.
The successful convening of this seminar marks the Shanxi Branch’s transition from the conceptualization phase to the stage of substantive advancement. It charts the course for the smooth establishment and efficient operation of the Shanxi Branch of the Foundation Engineering Center of the State Key Laboratory of Deep Geotechnical Engineering, and opens a new chapter for deeper collaboration and co-driven innovation between the laboratory and local enterprises in Shanxi.
